It stands to reason…
that if you present a man with truth, he listens. And learns.
Yet despite more than $3 billion paid in vaccine damage by the U.S. Government, and vaccine injury cases on a steady rise for the past 20 years, politicians like Jerry Brown are mandating their use or denying children access to education.
Line up your kids, spin the wheel. Whomever is spared wins a public school education, courtesy of the State of California. Even if you lose, everybody wins, because special education attracts lots of federal money.
And so it goes.
Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., is no stranger to this fight. Yet despite his renowned credentials as a successful environmental lawyer, the campaign to marginalize and discredit him continues. And the denial by mainstream media that the vaccine “problem” even exists, continues to contribute to the lie that ‘there’s nothing here, move along, the science is in.’
Yet the very nature of science is that it’s constantly changing. Environments, humans, plants and animals alike are living beings, each unique, each constantly adapting, mutating.
Despite this base condition of reality, parents raising legitimate questions all in the name of trying to protect our children continue to be painted as fringe, lunatic, anti-science.
The most recent attack was borne from the poorly informed, inappropriately condescending Frank Bruni of the once venerable, now incredible New York Times.
Mr. Bruni, who decided to rant about RFK Jr., served no purpose other than to punctuate Jerry Brown’s pen stroke, revealed nothing new in the vaccine narrative. Instead, it awkwardly smacked of a spurned school girl bragging about how she ignored the football captain at the homecoming dance.
As a former food critic, Bruni’s background in reviewing scientific literature is lacking (at least Mr. Kennedy has experience in that arena from his environmental work and the book & film Trace Amounts). Bruni appears to have no children, and therefore appears to have no empathy for what parents are experiencing in this debate. As a result, his laziness as a reporter and closed-mindedness as a human can only be justified by his employer’s choice to protect their advertising revenue rather than getting to the truth of one of the biggest stories in the 21st century. No need to actually report on facts, he’s already won his Pulitzer Prize.
But it would behoove Mr. Bruni to take another look. Ironically, all he has to do is start with his alma mater, the University of North Carolina. UNC is linked to direct evidence on congressional record that vaccines don’t work.
According to the U.S. Government Department of Records, UNC’s Head of the Department of Biostatistics at the School of Public Health, Dr. Bernard Greenberg, testified in 1962 in front of the U.S. Congress that the incidents of polio actually increased substantially after the introduction of mass vaccination programs, resulting in a 50% increase in cases from 1957 – ’58 and 80% from 1958 -’59 (Source: Intensive Immunization Programs, Hearings before the Committee on Interstate & Foreign Commerce, House of Representatives, 87th Congress, 2nd Session on H.R. 10541, Washington DC: US Government Printing Office, 1962; pp. 96-97).
Greenberg also testified that statistics “were manipulated to give the impression of the effectiveness of the Salk vaccine,” manipulation that could have only come from Merck, the manufacturer of Salk’s polio vaccine. Dr. Jonas Salk added further fuel to the fire when in 1972 he also testified before congress that the live-virus vaccine he helped pioneer (the same one used in the United States between early 1960 & 2000) was the “principal if not sole cause” of all reported polio cases in the U.S. since 1961 (Washington Post, September 24, 1976).
Because the polio virus remains in the throat for one to two weeks and in the feces for up to two months (an effect we now call shedding), vaccine recipients and those around them are at risk, and can potentially spread the disease, as long as fecal excretion of the virus continues (American Academy of Pediatrics, Report of the Committee on Infectious Diseases: 1986 (Elk Grove Village, Illinois: AAP):284–5).
Mr. Bruni was graduated from UNC in 1986.
Perhaps he should spend more time looking doing his job investigating rather than intellectually bullying a credible environmental attorney.
Sadly, Mr. Bruni is not the first to read from this script. Nor will he be the last. As parents in California are learning, when you have a company like Merck that has penetrated societal strata in as many layers as they have — sprinkling their amnesia dust in the form of billions of dollars to every known cause imaginable — tragedy goes ignored. Silence is bought, societally, by our refusal in our daily narrative to acknowledge that vaccine injury exists.
It doesn’t matter what we do or don’t do in science if nobody listens.
Robert Kennedy is listening. And we should, too.
Here is RFK Jr.’s response to Frank Bruni’s article.

RFK versus Frank Bruni
by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
Frank Bruni’s angry tirade against me in his Sunday New York Times column took me by surprise. Last February, we’d had a brief, friendly, and mutually respectful telephone conversation. He had written an article about vaccine safety at the end of January and I asked if he would allow me to show him some of the recent scientific studies linking Thimerosal to a range of brain injuries. I also wanted to show him the transcripts of statements by CDC whistleblower, Dr. William Thompson, discussing the troubling disarray and deception within CDC’s vaccine program. Bruni told me he would be delighted to look at the materials. He said he was under deadline at the moment, but he cordially invited me to call back to schedule lunch. Both of us are busy and so I was not surprised that he did not return my follow-up call the next week. Bruni now reveals that he was deliberately dodging my phone call because he was frightened that I would use the lunch meeting to “scaremonger” him.
It’s disappointing that a columnist for America’s leading publication can be “scaremongered” by facts. The sad outcome is that instead of the enlightened, civil debate that our country deserves, Bruni delivers in this past Sunday’s column the same tired species of invective and ad hominem attack that have long characterized this controversy.
In the two instances that he ventures from insult into substance, Bruni gets it wrong. Bruni erroneously suggests that mercury has been removed from all pediatric vaccines. In fact there are massive doses of mercury in some meningitis vaccines – now mandated for all schoolchildren in New York – and in vaccines given to pregnant women, infants, and annually to public school kids. Mercury remains in mandated pediatric HepB, HIB, and DTap vaccines at double the concentrations deemed safe by EPA. To the ingredients of those vaccines, pharmaceutical companies have recently added aluminum adjuvants that act synergistically to dramatically amplify the neurotoxicity of the remaining mercury. Finally, pharmaceutical companies merely reduced mercury levels in pediatric vaccines given to American children. We continue to send the range of pediatric vaccines fully loaded with mercury to children in developing nations in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East, a practice that will haunt our country in many dreadful ways.
In defending thimerosal safety, Bruni alludes to the debunked industry canard that the ethylmercury in vaccines is less persistent in the body and therefore less toxic than the heavily regulated methylmercury in fish. However, the best and most recent science shows that ethylmercury is twice as persistent in the brain (Burbacher et al 2005), and 50 times as toxic as methylmercury in fish (Guzzi et al 2012).
Bruni acknowledges that he relies on CDC’s version of what the science says rather than reading science himself. There is a peril in unctuous faith in government orthodoxies. Four scathing Federal studies by Congress, the US Senate, the HHS Inspector General, and the HHS Office of Research Integrity paint CDC’s vaccine division a cesspool of corruption due to scandalous conflicts with the $30 billion vaccine industry. In August, CDC’s senior vaccine scientist, Dr. William Thompson, invoked Federal whistleblower protection, confessing that CDC supervisors systematically require vaccine division scientists to bury data linking vaccines to autism and other neurologic harms.
In our book, a review of the published science, Dr. Martha Herbert, Dr. Mark Hyman, and I, identified hundreds of peer reviewed studies by leading government and university scientists showing that thimerosal , a mercury containing preservative is a devastating neurologic toxin linked to neurological disorders now epidemic in American children, including ADD, ADHD, low IQ, speech development delays, and tics. I have attached a digest of these studies as an addendum to this article on my website. We found no published study proving thimerosal safe.
Bruni is left making the strange and anemic argument that if pharmaceutical companies were truly driven by greed, as purportedly cynical thimerosal opponents believe, Pharma’s best business strategy would be to stop manufacturing vaccines, let contagions run rampant, and then profiteer on medicine sales. I’m not jumping into that shark tank with Bruni, but I will dip in one toe by pointing out that Pharma is making plenty of dough selling Adderall, Prozac, and dozens of other best selling drugs to treat the neurological injuries that now affect one in six American children. All these illnesses are consistent with symptoms documented in mass mercury poisonings around the globe.
Frank Bruni and other American journalist need to start reading the science themselves and stop allowing compromised government bureaucrats tell them what the science supposedly says.
The media’s undue reverence for CDC has emboldened bad agency behavior that jeopardizes vaccine safety. The best way to promote vaccine participation and compliance is through intense media scrutiny that will restore integrity and credibility at CDC.
